Mulbury is set to complete work on a scheme of 17 homes on a site formerly belonging to Prestwich Golf Club.
Built on behalf of Cube Homes, the private development arm of Great Places Housing Group, the development includes four and five-bedroom homes, both detached and semi-detached.
The development of high specification homes, designed by Calderpeel Architects, is situated on an area of the course next to Kersal Road in the south-west corner of the golf club site.
The project is now nearing completion and the homes will be handed over to Cube Homes imminently.
Glyn Fazackerley, construction director for Mulbury, said: “We are very proud of this genuinely bespoke scheme, which has created homes with plenty of character.
“Along with giving people the chance to own a property in a desirable area with great local amenities, this project also supported improvements to the course at the local golf club and gave life to an unused piece of land.
“These properties have attracted a lot of interest from prospective buyers, and we’re delighted to hand them over to Cube Homes.”
Chris Heath, Cube Homes managing director, said: “Fairways View is our flagship development and these luxury homes have proved very popular – even though we are in unprecedented times. The first customers have already moved in and the site is over 80 per cent sold, which shows how popular the development is.
“We are developing heavily in this part of Greater Manchester, including Kersal Vale and Whitefield amongst others, as we look to provide househunters with homes of choice across a range of price points.
“Fairways View has set the benchmark to what buyers can expect from Cube Homes and are very proud of what we have been able to achieve in Prestwich.”
The properties are intended to be an ideal choice for commuters, with Prestwich tram stop two miles away, Manchester city centre five miles away and the M60 close by. The area boasts a number of green spaces including Heaton Park, a range of shopping and a selection of bars and restaurants.
Prestwich Golf Club sold the land for development in order to enhance its clubhouse facilities for members and visitors.
Mulbury have a number of similar projects in pipeline in the North West.
