Mulbury has been shortlisted for two awards at the Insider North West Residential Property Awards 2019.
We’ve been nominated in the Large Housing Development of the Year category for our Clock Tower Drive / Blackbird Grange development in Walton, Liverpool.
Meanwhile, The Astley, our private rented sector development in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, has been shortlisted in the Large Apartment Development of the Year category.
The Clock Tower Drive and Blackbird Grange developments are part of a major £25m regeneration project that’s created a diverse mix of 191 homes on the 13.5-acre former Walton Hospital site. The development, off the A59 Rice Lane, Walton, brings back into use land left vacant when the hospital was demolished in August 2011 following its closure the previous year.
We worked with Riverside Group to create 101 affordable homes in phase 1 of the development, known as Clock Tower Drive. A further 24 shared ownership units, which have planning consent, are to be developed on the site for Riverside Group in the coming months.
We also worked with The Sovini Group on a further 66 homes for shared ownership and ‘Rent to Buy’ as part of a second phase known as Blackbird Grange.
The Astley, developed by our Mulbury City division for M&G Real Estate, is a nine to fifteen-storey development of 135 private rented sector (PRS) apartments on a prominent site at the corner of Port Street and Great Ancoats Street.
Launched in 2016, the Insider North West Residential Property Awards celebrate the remarkable achievements of the region’s residential sector.
The winners will be announced at a gala dinner on Thursday 24 January 2019 at EventCity in Manchester. A full list of awards and shortlisted companies is on the Insider website.
