Mulbury has completed a scheme of 14 new shared ownership homes in Reddish, Stockport, on behalf of Equity Housing Group.
The development – based off Harrogate Road and now called Harlow Close – was officially opened by the Mayor of Stockport, Cllr Laura Booth alongside representatives from Equity Housing Group and the local community.
The new homes, built in partnership with Stockport Council and Homes England, will help to address the need for more shared ownership homes to be built across the region.
Vicki Appleton, operational director of development at Equity Housing Group, said: “Harlow Close is home to a beautiful development in the heart of Stockport – which has been great to work on. We’re looking forward to seeing residents continue to move into their new homes over the coming months and to start to create a strong community for everyone.”
Councillor Laura Booth, Mayor of Stockport, said: “The new development is made up of truly beautiful homes and we’re pleased that they have been offered to people in the local area and for shared ownership. I’m not surprised that they were snapped up so quickly.”
Glyn Fazackerley, construction director at Mulbury, said: “We’re proud to have worked with Equity to build these high-quality homes and help it meet the demand for shared ownership properties.
“Not only do these homes offer an opportunity for people to buy a property in Reddish, they have revitalised a site that had been vacant since the 1970s, while also protecting the heritage of the surrounding mills.”
