Mulbury is set to complete 455 new homes for registered housing providers in the current financial year, despite delays caused by the coronavirus lockdown.
And we remain confident of hitting the target we set in October 2019 of building 3,000 new homes in the North West over the next five years.
We’re already on site with nine schemes across the region and plans to start on four more this summer, including sites in Boothstown, Shaw and Hollingworth in Greater Manchester, and Clitheroe in Lancashire.
We have an additional 1,000 homes either in for planning or about to be submitted with a combined build value of around £160m. We have deals agreed with registered providers to build an additional 500 homes, as well as several strategic land opportunities that are being promoted.

“We remain in a strong position. We have a healthy order book and the demand from our clients and partners in the affordable housing sector is very encouraging.
“While we took the decision to temporarily shut down our operational sites in April, we had a relatively smooth remobilisation of sites from the beginning of May onwards. Health and safety have been our top priority and it’s been pleasing to receive some great feedback from clients and suppliers on our site set-up and social distancing measures.
“The favourable weather means we’ve made good progress in getting many of our sites back on track. We will still hand over 455 homes between April 2020 and March 2021.
“The land side of the business shows no signs of slowing down. We’ve still been active with acquisitions, working closely with registered providers to help meet their housing requirements.”
Mulbury also remains active in the city centre market and is awaiting a planning decision on over 370 units in the New Cross area of Manchester.
