Planning and Design Manager

The successful applicant will be responsible for the timely delivery of architectural design information throughout the development process, from layout design to house type drawings, utilising internal and external resources. They will also ensure planning conditions are monitored and discharged as required.

Typical Duties will include:

  • Manage external consultants to prepare planning applications
  • Line management for Architectural Technician
  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate design information for tender and construction stages
  • Obtain building regulations approval
  • Monitor and discharge planning conditions
  • Ensure compliance with agreed scheme specifications and current legislation

Core Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience with either housing developer or contractor
  • Recognised & relevant academic qualification
  • Detailed technical knowledge of housing development and planning process
  • Up to date knowledge of current relevant legislation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer literate in MS Office and role specific software
