Mulbury and M&G Real Estate’s Port Street PRS scheme had its official topping out ceremony on Friday December 1.
Working with Regenology, we’ve made a stunning timelapse video of the project so far, which shows the concrete frame being erected and the building reaching its highest point.
We’ve also compiled a selection of photos from the event, which took place on the 12th storey of the 15 storey building, high above Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

During August, work to prepare the site of our private rented sector (PRS) apartments development in Blossom Street, Ancoats, begins.
This means the former electricity substation that faces Great Ancoats Street, and the Guardian of Ancoats artwork which adorns its gable wall, will be coming down to make way for the scheme.
While we must say goodbye to the Guardian of Ancoats (the substation having long ago fallen into disrepair), this should be seen not as the end, but the start of a bright new future.

Proposals for a scheme of 108 apartments on the former Excelsior Mill site in Castlefield have been granted planning permission by Manchester City Council’s planning committee.
Mulbury submitted plans at the beginning of April to transform the site of the former printing and book binding works in Hulme Hall Road which lies adjacent to the Bridgewater Canal.
The £26m eight-storey scheme has been designed by Manchester-based Tim Groom Architects. It features one, two and three-bedroom apartments which will be marketed for private sale.

Designed by Tim Groom Architects, the scheme will see the construction of two separate buildings, one eight-storeys and one seven-storeys, providing a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, as well as three townhouses.

Construction work is progressing well on Mulbury’s £27.6m scheme of 135 private rented sector (PRS) apartments in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Over the last few weeks, work on the foundations has been completed, the tower crane has been erected and the building is now starting to come out of the ground.
In this site update video, James Alderson, head of Mulbury City, explains the benefits of the PRS model and what the Port Street scheme will offer to residents.

Mulbury has signed up to be a supporter of inspiring Manchester-based charity Mustard Tree.
The partnership will see Mulbury take part in fundraising and volunteering initiatives with Mustard Tree whose mission is to combat poverty and prevent homelessness.
Mulbury visited Mustard Tree’s HQ in Oldham Road, Ancoats, to drop off food, warm clothing and toiletries. The items were donated following a collection mobilised by Mulbury staff and the company’s partners and supply chain.
