Mulbury is to build 46 new shared ownership homes in Gorton, east Manchester, on behalf of Southway Housing.
The homes will be built on a prime spot of empty brownfield land neighbouring a public park on Vine Street in Gorton.
It is Didsbury-based Southway Housing’s first affordable shared ownership scheme and offers the opportunity for low-cost home ownership for those who may not be able to purchase outright.

Specialist residential developer Mulbury, in partnership with Plus Dane Housing, has secured planning permission to build a multi-million-pound development of 46 new affordable homes in Warrington.
The scheme will redevelop a disused parcel of land on Hawthorne Street into high-quality affordable homes for local young families and first-time buyers taking their first step on the property ladder.
The derelict 2.5-acre brownfield site will be transformed into a mix of two and three-bedroom semi-detached and terraced houses.

Construction work is progressing well on Mulbury’s £27.6m scheme of 135 private rented sector (PRS) apartments in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
Over the last few weeks, work on the foundations has been completed, the tower crane has been erected and the building is now starting to come out of the ground.
In this site update video, James Alderson, head of Mulbury City, explains the benefits of the PRS model and what the Port Street scheme will offer to residents.
