Mulbury’s £30m Manchester apartments plan approved

Mulbury has been given planning permission to create a high-quality apartment scheme on the edge of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

The eight to 14 storey development of 134 apartments on the corner of Port Street and Great Ancoats Street will be Mulbury’s first in the private rented sector (PRS).

The scheme, which is also close to the revitalised New Islington area, was given the green light at Manchester City Council’s planning committee today (September 17).

Name change and new divisions for Mulbury

Mulbury name change news

Mulbury Homes today announces it will be renamed simply as Mulbury to better reflect the diversity of its operations in the UK housing sector.

Alongside the name change, Mulbury has created a number of new sub-brands to help represent its different divisions, including the launch of a new land and planning service.

Greg Mulligan, a director of Mulbury, explains: “Over the last five years the business has grown rapidly. Developing affordable housing and care schemes for registered housing providers is a core market and will remain so, but we’re also growing in other related sectors.
